The Parish had an official list of 200 families in 1937, which grew to about 500 families in 1955 and in 1987 it  numbered about 725 families.

The first pastor appointed to St. Teresa's Parish was Rev. Felix Coffey, who served as pastor from October 3rd, 1937 to August 6, 1938.

On August 6th, 1938, St. Teresa's Parish had its, and perhaps most important, RED LETTER DAY in its history. A young priest arrived in Port Colborne, from Toronto and for 38 years Reverend Basil Malone was the active pastor of St. Teresa's Roman Catholic Church.

Father Malone's tireless efforts on behalf of his beloved St. Teresa's Parish, are legendary. His kindness and charitable nature are unmatched in the annals of this parish.
